While I was in San Francisco, I had the chance to go speak to the teens who work with YO! Youth Outlook. A project of New America Media, YO! is a journal created by mostly young people of color who live in the Bay Area. They are frigging awesome, so make sure to check them out.
So after we had a lunch roundtable to discuss my book and feminism in general, two young women from YO! interviewed me for their YO! TV show, which airs on the local CW station. Check it out below.

A big thanks to Neela Banerjee for inviting me; I had a great time!

Redmond's review is very well-done. Considering that she's 15 (sophomore, or so?) I'm impressed with it.
great job Jasmine and Jessica :) wooo hoo feminists!
that was great! that must be so exciting to see your book having such a positive effect on young girls!
also... i checked out feministing.org. i couldn't help my curiosity. wow. just... wow. what an enormous waste of time.
I also checked out feministing.org and just like the men that protest at the abortion clinic where I volunteer every week I wonder where these people work because I would love to have that much free time. Really they think that site will work? The must really underestimate our intelligence. Wait we already knew that!
I read Feministing.com everyday like unemployed college kids read craigslist. But I had no idea about Feministing.org!
Is there anyway we can shut them down? Sites like that remind me of when godhatesfags.com all of a sudden got replaced with a big animated rainbow flag that said "this site has been removed by gay hackers" lets do that. feminist hackers, where are you?
Ah, Jessica! You're my hero. "Opinionated and loud" is probably code for "expertise and persuasiveness, when exhibited by a woman" ;)
