Technically, cross stitch is a type of embroidery. Maybe you're both right.:)
Yay! I love seeing other women who use the traditional "womanly" arts to express their feminism. The history of samplers is a part of the history of women. They were an integral part of a girl's education for a very long time, in a way that very few people realize.
I've been meaning to post these on Flickr . . . it's on my to-do list, but I just moved, so it was moved down on the list to somewhere below "figure out where bed sheets got put". In the meantime, here is the link to my own feminist needlework on google's photo sharing site.
