Despite our government's incompetency regarding sex education, it's nice to see that the rest of us are doing something right; a couple of great updates on the birth control front:

Actually, the report did find that fewer teens are having sex now compared to the early 90s. Not due to abstinence education, though, probably, since other studies have found that teens who did get the abstinence-only schooling are not less likely to have sex. Of those having sex, interestingly, 63% use condoms--I'd be interested to know what the other 37% are using.
What about abortion?
Vanessa... I agree with you that an increase in condom usage is good, you lose credibility when you deny less people are having sex.

And technically, despite the idea that abstinence isn't working, the expert in the WaPo article specifically touts programs that "encourag young teens to delay sexual initiation." This ALONG WITH instruction on condoms and birth control produced the marked results.
