More anti-choice news...

My colleague Sarah Blustain noticed an ad on the Americans United for Life website, claiming that they're planning a deluge of anti-choice litigation in the wake of Gonzales v. Carhart -- so much so that they're in the market for two new attorneys.

Depressing.

Those Regent University School of Law graduates have to go somewhere now that the Department of Justice has become less hospitable.

Gonzales is going to open the floodgates. Now that they have the federal D&X ban (unless and until it succumbs to a Commerce Clause challenge, as Scalia and Thomas intimated it would), they can easily shut down any abortion provider they want by making false claims about D&X being performed. It doesn't matter whether the claims are ever substantiated. The investigation itself will be more than enough to put people out of business.
