Feeling down about the Supreme Court decision? Well pick up the phone.
Take action for reproductive justice by joining NARAL Pro-Choice America's National Call-In Day to Support the Freedom of Choice Act.
Here's all you have to do...Call 202-224-3121 and ask to be connected to both of your senators and your representative. You can even use the following script:
“Please cosponsor the Freedom of Choice Act (H.R.1964/S.1173) to codify Roe v. Wade and guarantee the right to choose for future generations of women.

Yes! I've already posted about this in my blog, and I'm thrilled to see that feministing has picked it up, too! PLEASE everyone, make some calls!
Also, at NOW you can find a list of senators and reps who are already co-sponsoring the bill. If your congressperson is on there, please call and say THANK YOU. Because they're probably getting lots of critical calls from the anti-choicers.
I have never posted here before but I just wanted to say to anyone who doesn't want to bother with this how easy it is. I just called my Senators/ Rep's offices. I live in Dallas, TX so my Senators are Kay Bailey Hutchinson and John Cornyn and my Rep is Kenny Marchant. All Republicans so it didn't make me feel very confident. But calling was easy and I got connected quickly. All of the Reps/Senator's staff were so polite and promised to pass the message along. Doing all of this took 5 min. It's the easiest activism I have ever done! So, to anyone thinking about calling, do it!! It's as easy as leaving a comment on this blog!
Exactly Jacqueline! It took me about 5 minutes, too, to call two senators and one rep. They were all very friendly. I'm a pretty nervous person when it comes to the telephone, so I know that it can seem really intimidating, but I promise that it's not nearly as bad as it sounds.
And yet another way of making your voice heard and putting a face on the protest:
I just got an email from Planned Parenthood, which has started a website called Wall of Protest, which allows you to post YouTube videos, photos, and messages in opposition to the SCOTUS ruling and in support of women's right to reproductive choice.
I'm headed over there later this afternoon. Go check it out!

Yay for moving out of the District and actually having senators and representatives to contact!
