Wow-- this is a great interview and made me go back to read the original "Blogging While Black" interview here on feministing. It's frustrating and maddening to read about women of color getting pushed out of the blog-o-sphere or feeling the need to hide their identity in order to post the truth about the racism-sexism they experience.

Um, this is an important subject for discussion, but it isn't helped when The Great Orange Satan, El Salvadoran born Markos Moulitsas-Zuniga, is generally assumed not to exist when it comes up.

I recognize that he doesn't exactly talk about racial issues in a sophisticated way, or at all, but he is by most definitions a "person of color."
