Help a young filmmaker win $10,000!
Remember the short film, A Girl Like Me, by teenager Kiri Davis (above)? Well, along with two other films by young women, it's up for a $10,000 prize given my CosmoGirl.
So go watch the films and vote!

The recreation of that baby doll experiment made me tear up a little. Amazing film.
Whoah, the one about weight, The Effects of Society's Obsession with Weight by Lynn Telzer...with the Size 2 high school girls grudgingly admitting they felt like they needed to lose weight after spending five minutes lamenting society's attitudes towards thinness? That hit me where I live. Good stuff.
The films are great, I voted but... I was a little creeped out by the ad that played right before I watched the eating disorder video. Turn your legs into the ultimate accessory? Ugh.
I saw this film last summer in DC with a roomful of interns and the reaction was very positive.
Props for promotin' media that really does matter.
Filmmaking is one of the toughest fields for women to break into. Thanks for helping spread the word and encouraging these important voices. The world needs more women behind the camera.
the bit with the baby dolls really made me sad. I wanted to scoop up those little children and say, "oh, look at this beautiful little baby doll. She's black like you! And you're beautiful too!" I just can't believe that it's still like this. I can't believe it. What a travesty.
