Breaking News: Send good thoughts to Liz.
Elizabeth and John Edwards announced a couple of hours ago that Elizabeth's cancer has returned.
Despite the recurrence, they have decided that the show must go on and John Edwards will continue his campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination.
I met Elizabeth while on her book tour not too long ago, and she is a truly lovely and impressive woman. Our thoughts are with her and the fam.

Many thoughts and prayers going to Elizabeth and the Edwards family right now. You are right, she truly is a wonderful woman. I've had the pleasure to meet her on several occasions where she has exhibited a large amount of intellect, grace, compassion, and kindness.
I see such hope for America in John's campaign and admire their strength and courage to continue for the sake of the country while facing such huge personal pain and struggle at the same time.
so far, i'm leaning towards Edwards for the Democratic nomination. i'm really worried that this is going to affect his campagain negatively.
no matter what happens there, though, i'm sad to hear that Elizabeth's cancer is back and i wish her the beth.

I'm not really leaning towards Edwards, but I do hope that this doesn't hurt his campaign. I wish Ms. Edwards and her family well.
Nobody else thinks it's shameful that he's continuing to campaign after his wife's been diagnosed with incurable cancer? I could never vote for him after this.
