Wal-Mart sex discrimination case moves forward

Here’s some great news for you.
The biggest sexual discrimination case in U.S. history advanced against Wal-Mart Stores Inc. on Tuesday when a top court ruled that more than a million women could join a suit charging bias in pay and promotions. The plaintiffs estimate they could win billions of dollars in lost pay and damages and that as many as two million women who have worked for Wal-Mart in its U.S. stores since 1998 could join a class-action lawsuit.
Hot damn that makes my day.

Wal-Mart is totally not denying it, either. Instead, they're tying to get out of the lawsuit by claiming it shouldn't be a class action lawsuit, but that the women should sue different stores and sile individual lawsuits. Here is a link to my post on it :)

I only wish I had the balls to boycott walmart.
The book is awesome, I read it a while back. I've also have held out for many years when it comes to shopping at Wal-mart, but lately I have made a few trips there, mostly for art supplies and children's books for work (I'm a social worker) and my boyfriend has called me out on it recently. In my defense, since I work with 3-5 year old children, I need such items and I have many thousands of dollars of student loan debt to pay off, so I should be saving money whenever I can. So yes I feel like a hypocrite but I have come to realize something: when I shop there I see many young families with kids, which has led me to think to try and view this from their point of view because it is probably more convenient and cost effective for them to shop there.
