Happy Friday!

Why can't I dance like this? I think this video was made for lesbians, but that is just what my girl LusciousMsBrown said, and it may be wishful thinking, but hey.

If you are wondering what I watch when I am home alone. . .

Can we get one of the ladies from the Best. Lesbianish. Blog. Ever. to judge this one? I want an expert opinion.

I dunno, but the posts about black women always get the fewest comments on this blog. I'm just sayin'.

In a similar line, I think if this featured the usual blue-eyed blonde, it wouldn't have been featured here and touted as admirable "dancing" and, apparently, sexy. It wouldn't have been special. So why is this?

Well, I'm not really surprised. As you all know, white feminism and black feminism are obviously differnt.

Third wave theory usually encompasses queer theory, women-of-color consciousness, post-colonial theory, critical theory, transnationalism, ecofeminism, and new feminist theory.

In the fall of 1991, President George H. W. Bush nominated Clarence Thomas to the Supreme Court. During the Senate Judiciary Committee hearings, Anita Hill, an African-American law professor from Oklahoma, came forward and said that she had been sexually harassed by Thomas almost a decade earlier, while she had been employed under him. In response to the Thomas hearings, Rebecca Walker published an article titled “Becoming the Third Wave in a 1992 issue of Ms. in which she declared, “I am not a postfeminism feminist. I am the Third Wave. Rebecca Walker is black and Jewish.
