Fun with Feminist Flickr (Women are hobbies edition)

Call me crazy, but I think folks who see women as "collectibles" should be banned from seeing boobies.

OK I recognize the Borders signs, I used to work for them. Playboy is always filed under Men's Interest; clearly they are moving shelves or the signs were switched accidentally (or as a prank). If you had asked a clerk, she would have cleared it up/have it taken care of. If you see it again, I think you should ask a clerk.
I think the 'hobby' in question is jacking off. but i usually see them at men's interest.
oh, and i read maxim for the captions
That's certainly a hobby a lot of us enjoy.
Are Breathing Weekly and the Eating and Shitting Times just out of frame?
You understand that you're implying that glossy magazines are women. Whereas those of us who actually glance at Playboy now and again know that, not only are the photos themselves not women, but for the most part they're not even photos of women. Seriously. Go get yourself a copy and check out the "pictorials." I think there's most likely a photo of a woman somewhere underneath all that ten tons of airbrushing, but I really can't be sure.
This will all come to a bad end. I worry about the youths of today. You ever hear the story about John Ruskin's wedding night? I fear that impressionable youths raised on Playboy, when finally confronted with the body of a woman in real life, may similarly recoil in revulsion: "OMG, eee-ew, I never knew women's skin actually had pores! And what's with up all this hair?!"
