I think basically the entire moral decline of western civilization, in one way or another, has been blamed on women.

School shootings. "Well, if those crazy women with jobs would watch what their kids are doing, these kids wouldn't have access to guns."

Teen pregnancy. Repeat argument, insert penis for guns.

Economy. "If these women would quit screwing up the job market, we WASPies could once again rule the world."

I think it's perfectly reasonable to blame women for traffic.

If all those women weren't driving to work or school 5+ days a week, there would be less trafic. If women knew their place, they would only need the car one day a week to run errands (like grocery shopping or going to the beauty parlor) Better yet, women should have their husbands drive them (because we all know women can't drive well anyway) on the weekend or take the bus.

i think the proper question is: what CAN'T be blamed on women?

perhaps prostate cancer and gum disease. i think everything else might be fair game. why not? seems like the reasoning is basically: "it's women's fault when men do stupid things because they are so distracted by women's sexual allure (or lack thereof) that they can't think straight."

We're also responsible for brain cancer. We're the ones always yakking away on cell phones, since we women have a biological need to gab with our girlfriends. Cell phone technology clearly would have been developed more carefully had it not been for the grabby girls begging for the ability to talk to their galpals 24/7. So that one's our fault too. Going back in time a bit, it's women's fault that Neanderthals died off!!!

The NYTimes Science section has an article based on research by physical anthropologists which blames the demise of the Neanderthal population on women. Apparently because Neanderthal women didn't "just sit at home and watch the children", but instead chose to participate in the hunt, the population couldn't sustain itself. Hmmmm...
