While I am all for being critical of our history, today has evolved to mean so much more than a symbol of the first Thanksgiving. We can enjoy family and friends, feed the homeless, and be thankful for what we have.

Happy Thanksgiving, a day late....

Has anyone tried tofurkey? I've been a veg for years but haven't tried it and was wondering if it's any good... Happy Thanksgiving! :)

I know I'm late two days, but I'm thankful I'm not one of the 68,000 women who die every year due to unsafe abortions.

A very good point. But I feel like every other day can and should involve enjoying our family and friends, feeding the homeless, and being thankful.

Thanksgiving day, I think, should be about the genocide and continued decimation of Native peoples at the hands of colonizers...which many of us descended from, or still are.

Nacho_mama, I wouldn't bother, frankly. I tried it once, and while i liked the stuffing inside, the actual tofurkey wasn't that great. I've gone back to having a bunch of yummy side dishes and pies.
