I wish I could be surprised.
Maybe Barbara Boxer could do something about that portion of government fiscal waste.
It's nice to see that a real feminist organization (Legal Momentum) is willing to give an upfront an honest description of CareNet and other CPC's.
I'm all too familiar with the folks from A Woman's concern. Their "counselors" are outside the Boston affiliate of Planned Parenthood on a regular basis. I used to live 2 blocks from it.
Up here in Central New York, I've heard the most ridiculous radio ads for CareNet... they feature two *men* talking about dealing with finding out that their girlfriends are pregnant, and how they're going to take care of it. Why an ad for a pregnancy center would feature men talking and making the decisions baffled me... until I thought about who these people are.
As if their mission wasn't bad enough, they discriminate in their hiring practices. One must "accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior" in order to work there. So tell me why they receive federal funding?
New York is recognised by the most safe city of the USA
The American experts have carried out special research about readiness of 30 largest cities of the USA for potential terrorist attacks. Most "prepare" from the point of view of terrorism recognises New York which has received the higher estimations in four categories, informs CNN.
The expert group included representatives of law enforcement bodies, experts in struggle against terrorism and to safety maintenance, and also employees of services of rescue. The estimation was spent on a four-point scale.
Conclusions of researchers were based on comparison of the big number of indicators. In itself statistical data could not present a full picture of readiness of this or that city to supernumerary situations. The estimation depended on degree of co-ordination and speed of actions of special urban services.
The unique category in which, according to experts, New York considerably concedes to other cities, is transport. Congestion motor transport and enormous stoppers create serious obstacles for emergency services of a city. In particular, delivery of victims or patients in medical institutions, and also access to scenes is complicated.
"Despite the fact that what New York became an overall objective for terrorists, he, certainly, the most equipped and prepared for such situations", - has confirmed the former head of management of FBI Charles Stone.
