...is ridiculous. As if "established feminists" (whatever that means) are saying she’s not a feminist because she has stuffy fashion sense. I only wish pastel suits were the least feminist thing about Laura Bush. So frustrating. Also:
I'm for Big Tent Feminism.

Make statements like this, and next thing you know someone's put groups like Concerned Women for America under feminism’s "big tent." Shudder.

Sure, we want feminism to be inclusive. But at what price? Water it down enough, and "feminist" just becomes synonymous with "woman with any sort of opinion." It means nothing. By that definition, even Phyllis Schlafly is a feminist. I definitely don't want to share my tent with her.
