New show “Campus Girls”: And no, it’s not porn
So the Oxygen channel has gotten together with Cheryl Hines (of HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm) to create a new series.
Described as the girl version of Old School, Campus Girls is about two women in their thirties who go back to college and live in freshman dorms. Hmm.
Frankly, you couldn’t pay me enough to go back to dorm-life, but what do I know…
Actually, dorm living is a secret fantasy of mine--as long as it includes a dining hall for all my meals. No grocery shopping, no cooking, no cleaning up, no other household chores to speak of--and I do at most half of the chores in my current household. When I was in grad school (married and with two little kids), I have to tell you, I didn't have a whole lot of patience for my classmates who complained about what a drag it was to live in the grad college...
If it's anything like Strangers with Candy, it'll be hilarious. In that show, a 40-ish woman and former "boozer, user, and loser" goes back to high school to get her diploma.
