Two anti-choicers appointed to Senate Judiciary Panel
The Washington Post reported today that two of Congress’s “most outspoken” anti-choice members were appointed to Senate Judiciary Committee—Sen. Sam Brownback (R-Kan.) and Sen.-elect Tom Coburn (R-Okla.).
Yeah, “outspoken” is one way of putting it. Frigging Coburn supports the death penalty for doctors who perform abortions—I’d say that’s a bit more than outspoken!
What’s even scarier is that the inevitable fight over Supreme Court nominations will begin in the Judiciary, now made up of 10 Republicans and eight Democrats.
Come on now, I thought that the holiday season was supposed bring joy, goddamn it!

Terrifying.
The season brings joy, yes, but to whom?
I'm just hoping the Justices can hold on for another four years. Everyone's been predicting an opening for a while now. Maybe they'll be like the Rolling Stones and just never stop.
And yet it is more than likely that Coburn himself has performed an abortion!
Rehnquist has a matter of a few months, and it is unclear if he will be functional for those few months.
Brownback's the one who recently spoke at a hearing about the dangers of pornography addiction and how friends of his, grown men, are afraid of staying in motels because the TVs have pay-per-view porn.
