Action Alert: Sign NARAL petition
NARAL Pro-Choice America has launched a national petition drive to save Roe and stop Alito. Go sign it now.
NARAL is aiming for 500,000 signatures by December 9th, so after you sign the petition send it to friends. (You can also print it up.)
A little something cool--if you collect 6 petition signatures by Dec. 9, NARAL will send you a pro-choice magnet. Come on, admit it. You love magnets. Lord knows I do.

Since statistics show overwhelmingly that children tend to share the political beliefs of their parents just think how many more people there would be to sign your silly failed petition if you all hadn't scrambled the brains of your own babies.
Roe is dead, its only a matter of time. As abortion disappears this will cramp the lifestyle of many of you as you just might have to conduct your sex life as an adult, actually exercising restraint and occassional self-control.
What has America come to??? Soon you won't be able to spread your legs for every guy who offers to split a joint with you and then just murder any innocent children that result. Wouldn't the operation of one's own sex life under prudent, mature guidelines be preferable to the wholesale slaughter of human life?
Spare a life, keep your legs together!
Oh no you didn't! I don't even have to smoke a joint to open my legs. MUWHWHAHAHAHA!
oh, she certainly did. does she think it's refeer madness up in here?
in honor of ms. girls-are-whores-lisa, i'll be doing all sorts of nasty stuff tonight while keeping my legs together.
You might want to spread your own legs, Lisa...wide enough for your head to pop out of your ass.
It isn't eloquent, but then again, rage rarely is.
to quote lisa, "Since statistics show overwhelmingly that children tend to share the political beliefs of their parents just think how many more people there would be to sign your silly failed petition if you all hadn't scrambled the brains of your own babies."
well maybe if you looked at a few more statistics you would see that most women get abortions while the embryo is 8 weeks old or younger, at which point it still doesn't have much of a brain to scramble. not to mention it is not considered a "baby" until birth (i would also say that innocent child waiting to be murdered is a stretch).
it is also a gross underestimation of women to assume that anyone who is pro-choice doesn't handle their sexuality in a mature way. even married women get abortions. there are many reasons aside from a drunken one night stand at a bad frat party. women are raped, abused by their husbands, or might not be able to sustain a healthy pregnancy. it is also true that accidents do happen. a condom might break or a birth control pill might be forgotton. even then, just because a woman has sex doesn't mean she is some irresponsible floozy.
this is about women's rights to their bodies and their health. i find the hypocrisy of the right wing so called "culture of life" openly favoring a clump of tissues that our bodies can shed on their own over living, breathing women appaling.
"Since statistics show overwhelmingly that children tend to share the political beliefs of their parents...."
This is actually not true. Why don't you go look at some actual statistics instead of quoting Rush Limbaugh, who has admitted to making up statistics in the past?
Now if you'll excuse me, I've got some irresponsible, unrestrained leg-spreading to do.
"NARAL Pro-Choice America has launched a national petition drive to save Roe and stop Alito."
WOW,
I didn't even realize the two were synonymous or co-dependant.
The only way society works for ALL people is when there can be compromise from opposing sides.
Here's a very WILD idea, and tell me what parts of it doesn't work for each side of the abortion debate.
How about the solution to "abortion" is that our doctors take the fetus from the mother at any point in her pregnancy, and anonymously take the fetus to full term in vitro and birth of the baby can go to adoptive parents?
So here are the pros:
1) There is no "death" or "destruction" of the fetus or baby.
2) There is no requirement for a mother or pregnant woman to carry the baby to birth against her wishes, or to have the responsibility to care for the baby.
3) It goes to a home with adoptive parents that want the child.
4) It gives everyone a choice, both mother, society and potential child.
Tell me the cons to this. I know there are many, but I'd like to see what people think before giving my opinion. Now be honest and open minded.
