Easy as it is to laugh at such an obvious conclusion, I think it is important that the MSM recognizes that the hard core of opposition to SSM really is just using this as a chance to rally support for their real agenda, which is legal and cultural sanctions to enforce heterosexuality. I read the piece, and I thought it was well done, and really helped undermine the disingenous claims made by some that the movement against SSM is different from anti-gay bigotry.
I agree completely. I just like to insert the funny from time to time.
It is completely disturbing that folks can't see what's really behind this "movement." And it's more than a little horrifying that disgusting bigots now feel like it's ok to spread hate under anti-gay-marriage rhetoric:
Robert Knight, the director of the Culture and Family Institute of Concerned Women for America, conceded as much. "People feel liberated," he said. "They feel like we don't have to go along with this stuff anymore, the idea that we're repressed backwater religious zealots just for wanting a decent society in which our children can thrive. It's O.K. today to say that marriage is between a man and a woman. Saying so does not make you a hater or bigot."
Uh, yes it does, asshole.
Good grief. What a depressing article. They sit around in groups, nourishing their bigotry by eagerly swallowing lie after lie, and for what purpose?
