A birth control pill for men is (slowly) on its way.
What do you think the chances are that pharmacists will refuse to dispense this guy-friendly contraceptive?

Probably the same rate they're refusing to sell condoms to men. Some universities have stopped their pharmacies from selling any kind of birth control, but I don't see this hitting my local CVS anytime soon...
Have pharmacists stopped dispensing viagra?
It is so typical that the scientists in the article reiterate that they are looking for a contraceptive compound that "does not affect hormones". Heaven forbid male contraception would affect sex hormones; why aren't they working to find a non-hormonal chemical contraceptive for women? It seems like they aren't as concerned with our sex drives.
The concern about male hormones may have something to do with more than just sex drive. Perhaps the researchers want lessen the possible impact on secondary sex characteristics in men.
