Most Catholic doctors would prescribe birth control

According to a recent survey, about 93 percent of physicians—including 87.5 percent of Catholic physicians—said that they would prescribe birth control to any adult patient. (Let's leave the 'adult' problem alone for now.)

90 percent of the Catholic doctors in the study also said they supported the distribution of condoms in developing countries struggling with the HIV/AIDS pandemic.

Dr. Albert Thomas, a Catholic OB/GYN and director of family planning at Mount Sinai Medical Center said, "There is a moral obligation for all physicians to be informed about all of the different methods of contraception and to refer patients away in cases of personal bias." Word.

Now if only we could do something about those pharmacists...

Stop AIDs by

1) Stop enabling gays to continue anally copulating each other. Enabling a gay is like enabling an alcoholic, you're NOT helping them, they may like you for the laws you pass to "help" them, just as a drunk will love you for the bottle you give him, but it's not helping them. Promote healthy lifestyles, not "alternative" ones.

2) Get men off the so-called "Down-low" lifestyle (having a wife or a girlfriend but a secret male lover on the side. This problem is particularly out of control in the black community, with as many as 36% of young black males being involved in this practice, I only raise that as an issue as it was a topic in sociology class that my professor raised a few weeks ago)

3) Promote more family oriented values, get people off the idea that fornication somehow is acceptable. God spoke, man didn't listen, and therefore it's woe to man.

I personally would never suggest anybody use birth control, not to children, not to friends, not to anybody. I will tell my children (when I have them) outright, "Sex is for marriage, there is no such thing as safe-sex, anybody who tells you "Strive for abstinence but it's unrealistic so here's a condom just in case", is doing you a great wrong, and if I catch you having sex, I'll beat some bible into you."

Furthermore, if any of my boys use words such as "chick" (a hebrew word insulting of a gentile women, derived from the word meaning "unclean meat") "hoe", "bitch", etc, or any of those other words that are objectifying and dehumanizing, they can expect a good backhand.

Scripture teaches, and I believe, that God made them man and woman, not man and bitch, and therefore respect is something that ought be given unto the woman when and where it is earned.

I don't respect anybody who hasn't earned it, although I try to. It's mostly hard for me to respect my male peers who assume that because I'm a guy I want to go get drunk and be invited to their sex orgy parties or go to strip-clubs, etc. That isn't me... I'm really tired of them assuming that it is. An ideal weekend for me is to sit quietly at home, do my work, read a bit, write a dozen or so pages of short stories, and read some bible, that's my weekend. I don't believe that going to some redneck bar and making a fool of myself while drunkenly shouting and leering at nude women is a "Good time" nor is it moral.
