Ban on sexy cheerleading won’t be passed by Senate

The Texas legislation that prohibits "overtly sexually suggestive" cheerleading and dancing at school events won’t be passed by the Senate this year.

Cause what kind of senator wouldn’t like suggestive cheering?

Whew, I am so glad that our legislators have nothing better to do that discuss doping and cheer leading.

Education and health care for children are more important, obviously. Too bad it took the legislature so long to realize this, after spending how ever much to time "debating" sexy cheerleading.

Another reason I am ashamed to be from Texas.

If I was from Texas, I think the only thing I would be ashamed of is the number of people like Dixie Chick Natalie Maines who like to say they are ashamed of being from Texas. As if you had control over where you are from. She should be more ashamed of the fact that she is a political ignoramus who runs her mouth to get sympathy from what she percieves as the anti-american intelligentsia. And then she got upset when middle america boycotted her records. The nerve!!! I can't believe that the people who's family are fighting in Iraq should have the nerve to boycott someone who is so blatenly anti-military. Who do they think they are? Don't they know that she's a famous country western star and what she says must be true because it agrees with all the cool and "elite" people?

If all the people who are ashamed to be from Texas were to move to Cuba, I'm sure the world would be a better place. Its a workers paradise, after all.

Well, I'm from Texas, tf, and I even live in the same town as Maines and I can tell you that we're proud of her. And she didn't say she was ashamed of Texas--she said she was ashamed that Bush was from Texas. She is clearly proud herself, as am I, or her state. Don't go making up shit about liberal Texans as we are just as ornery and stubborn, if not more so, than our conservative brethern.
