I am assuming you are not a young woman. If you were, you would already know the myriad ways in which young women do not speak on their own behalf.

Many of us need other people’s consent to control our own bodies.

We are rarely asked to participate in public dialogue, even regarding issues that affect us directly.

The media consistently reports on what “young women” think, without asking most young women.

Older feminists have defined the landscape, making it difficult for new messages to resonate.

There are topics not immediately identified as “young women’s issues,” such as equal pay, to which we must lay claim.

That is why we created this site. It is time for women of our generation to have a chance — and a place — to make their voices heard.
