South Carolina considering abortion ban
South Carolina is set to introduce an abortion ban similar to the one passed in South Dakota, but will have to wait until next year because of a full legislative calendar.
But don’t worry, SC has plenty of current anti-choice legislation to keep you appropriately horrified.

I used to think that Kansas was the state that time forgot. The attorney general of the state, running for gov, said that women shouldn't vote. Then there was the whole Scopes Trial redux. Now I'll have to add SD AND SC to the list...
I don't see why you're supposed to have access to my money to pay for your abortions? Please explain to me why you think you have a right to a taxpayer funded abortion.
I don't see why you're supposed to have access to my money to pay for your abortions?
For the same reason you're supposed to have access to my money to pay for your children, maybe?
Seems perfectly fair to me. There's no such thing as a "taxpayer funded abortion", anyway. Typically the abortionists working for nonprofit groups are volunteering their time.
Having lived for 8 years, all of them in my formative teens and early twenties, in SC, this does not surprise me in the least.
First of all, because I was an outspoken punk/goth/rivetkitten, I was regularly asked if I was:
a. A Satanist
b. A lesbian
c. A drug-addict
This was all because I would wear black band t-shirts and Doc Martens to school every day.
Second, this state is home to The Citadel. I'm sure the ladies on this list will remember the battle to allow women into the school? Well, it was a mere 10 years ago, I was living in Charleston (where the school is located), and I shudder to remember all the baby blue and white "SAVE THE MALES" bumper stickers I saw.
This is only the tip of the iceberg in stories I have from my residence in the state. There are some good things about the state, but it's times like these that my fiance and I say," SC. First to secede, last in everything else."
Chet, explain to me how I can get some of your money to raise my children? I'd relly like to have more and I'm sure I'm not getting any of it now.
