Another reason I’m a feminist

Cause assholes like this still exist:

Before anybody gets too het up over the resurrection of the ERA, let’s give this some thought. In the first place, I can’t believe the old girls are that bored they’d bring up something that would be so damaging to their cause of female supremacy. It’s true, you know. An ERA would toss most of their manipulative anti-male, anti-family laws right out the window. This would include the wicked stepmother of them all, VAWA.

You think that's bad? Just wait till you read the whole post, especially the part about the attention the ERA is getting from "lots of minor feminist bloggers and silly girl(s)."

And you have to love a blog whose sub-head is STOP the Violence Against Women Act! Unabashed misogyny at its best. Fantastic.

Yeah I thought you would enjoy that!

Bah! LOL! I'd rather be a "minor feminist blogger and a silly girl" than some piggish misogynist little boy, who has insecurities issues with women being his equal under constitutional law, and is pro-violence against women. Sorry, but I doubt bashing the ERA or VAWA will enhance your penis size, boys :-)

And happy to give yah company Ms. Jared!

Feh. DesertlightJournal. Sometimes that site is a parody of itself.

I'm not entirely sure, but the author of that blog appears to be a woman. At least the main author on desertlightjournal.com claims to be a woman. That just makes the whole thing that much more baffling.

Back in the day, you always heard people warning that an Equal Rights Amendment might be used as a back-door way to legalize same-sex marriage. Who would have thought that 25 years later SSM would be getting attention on its own and the ERA would still be on the scrap heap?

The competition sessions were arranged so that competitors could generally return to the Village for all main meals, but packed meals were available when this was not possible.

Refreshments had to be supplied to competitors during four road events, the marathon run, 20 and 50 kilometre walks and cycling road race. Each feeding station was stocked with a comprehensive range of drinks and foodstuff with any special request or personally supplied article being placed in a tray against the number of the competitor to aid identity.

Many officials were, however, on continuous duty and facilities had to be provided for them. These were arranged by the Housing and Catering section, and the Technical Department's only responsibility was the issuing of cash vouchers which the officials exchanged at the cafeterias and dining rooms.

The general principle was that vouchers were supplied to cover meals from time of reporting until finishing duty; for instance those officiating at morning sessions and continuing in the afternoon were supplied with lunch and afternoon tea, and those working afternoons and evenings were given afternoon tea and dinner.
