Bjork and Tori Amos all in one issue? For those two articles alone, I'm absolutely getting this issue.
Tori's first album came out when I was a freshman in high school, and I played that tape 'til it wore out and snapped. Here was a woman who sang about masturbation and surviving rape and raw anger -- and she sounded like nobody else I'd ever heard, and she didn't give a damn whether she sounded like anyone else out there. I was in -love-. I've grown past the squealing fangirl adulation I'd had when I was 14, but I stil buy her albums whenever I see a new one on the shelves.
Ugh. Bust even managed to make the incredible Lily Taylor seem like just a sexpot.
Bjork and Tori amos are amazing. . .i want the magazine!!!!!
