You...think that polyamory & polygamy are about "sharing" men? Really? Because I've come to expect a little more intelligence and open-mindedness and a little less ignorance and judgment from this blog. That's not what polyamory is about. That's as ignorant as someone arguing that same-sex marriage shouldn't be legalized because of bestiality.
And since when did men become belongings to own and share?
As we are trying to equalize the treatment of men and women, and men refuse to stop treating women as belongings, the next logical move.
I don't understand why it's illegal in the first place.
Rats... at first I thought women would get to have more than one husband!
Ok, PLEASE people - the guy quoted is a known blatherbag - he ran for president one time, and his base was "a wife and enough vodka" for each citizen of Russia (either he is for lesbians, or he didn't think women were voters, which is more likely).
So he's still on the same song - c'mon, people, vote for me, and you can have a harem! Really!
That's first of all. Second of all, I loved the bit about "Chechnya fighting for independence from Russia" Uh, they have been independent - they just realized they have no natural resources or anything else in a way of economy, so they squatted on the oil pipeline that Russia had going through their territory.
Funny how when Chechen women had been asking for cease fire, the Chechen men said, hell, no - we've got a holy war to fight! Now that there's not that many left, all of a sudden it's a "Well, crap, we will all die out, let's share women!" bs.
What I would like to know is, with their grand plans for repopulating, did they think about maybe creating the intrastructure for it? Like, I don't know, maybe having some buildings to live in - after the war, there's not that many left standing.
