Peaches rocks my world.
I couldn’t help it.
You must check out BUST magazine’s Feb/march Music Issue with the ever-so-hot Peaches on the cover. This issue takes on a number of kick-ass musicians/performers, including Feist, Trina, and special guy guest, the scary-but-strangely-sexy Henry Rollins.

gee it almost looks like a cover for a porno mag. I wonder if this photo represents objectification or empowerment for the majority of readers or newstand cover viewers. It is true being objectified may be impowerment if that is ones intent, but still. One wonders if they are hoping more men pick up the magazine?? Hey it seems to work for every other magazine why not a feminist onE?
JJS, if you're at all familiar with Peaches, this cover makes total sense.
I love Bust. They have the best music coverage - and now they have a music issue! I cannot wait for it to arrive.
Yes i know "peaches", seriously who doesn't. I also know mellons and jugs -- I just never new feminist magazines would stoop to bjectification to sell magazines. It must be a new wave feminism thing the old school would never do this, that i am sure of.
I agree completely with JJS. Why this is a great kick-ass hot feminist thing, but "Shop with a Bunny" and "Valet Vixens" are horrible objectification worthy of derision and boycott, I don't think I will ever understand.
Apparently it's ok to sell women's bodies if you call it "feminist" first.
Peaches' controversial sex-positive stance basically involves objectifying everyone, in order to both celebrate sexuality and mock objectification itself. Songs like "Shake yr dix" make this pretty clear. If they had subordinated Peaches' radical stance to conform to a granola-feminist ideal, they would have failed to capture the postmodern & carnivalesque free-for-all her music represents.
What next? posing in penthouse with a few spread eagle shots and trash talk captions will be feminist symbolism of woman taking control of sexual objectification and exploitation? Oh, i get it. so long as it is made to create ironic get the joke chuckling among the right people, it is ok.
IF it is objectification created for mens viewing enjoyment/wack off aid? no, that is WRONG, because dudes shouldn't wack off thinking of women. they should think of white puffy clowds. No wonder people are confused with feminism.
"irony" is a code word for "same old shit with the same old intentions, but we can call it feminist and be cool."
Hi Vanessa,
Im a journalist, and I am writing an article about women and hair - and I think that Peaches is very interesting in relation to this subject. I would like to use a quote from you in the article - if you feel that you have anything to say about Peaches in relation to her body image (body hair, etc) and how it is helpful (or not) for feminism, please email me at kay-l@hotmail.co.uk. Same goes for anyone else reading this! Thanks x
The increasing trust to group has been shown in second album Undertow where Henry Rollinz took part in song record «Bottom». I remember that party on the occasion of album release... The Show was impressing...
